The recent ongoing U15 football competitions involving the Malaysian team has failed to show a clear vision and objectives for the future.
These same players will be laughed at when they progress to the following youth and senior level as we can easily witness already happening today
With below-average coaches helming the age-group national teams it gives no hope for the future of the sport for Malaysia. Deriving players for the youth and senior-level national teams from the current ecosystem doesn't give much hope to producing quality and well-versed players as wished in the sport - coaches' inability and know-how to produce the right kind of players that the standard demands.
We could easily notice the Malaysian national team's players who all this while came from the system(before) and now for almost three decades - they're lacking in character and substance, only to make up the numbers.
In Malaysian football, coaches and players at all levels of competition grassroots, in particular, are demanded to win and become champions in competitions. Totally ignoring the crucial details for moulding and developing the players under their charge meets the standard - if these current coaches are smart enough to realize it.
The awareness and vision these coaches have are clearly shown when the team they coach performs - only to make up the numbers at the regional level - but nowhere near the footballing standard mandatories
The Malaysian national team coaches together with the officials at all levels are only good to drum-up support for competitions - compromised and losing sight on many important detailed issues involving moulding character and developing players to play the sport accordingly, in demand for the highest level - not making some big fuss on the domestic and regional level competitions
Malaysian football efforts and initiatives in development matter for more than three decades now can be said and seen as a miserable failure and rotten,... due to the low standard/class coaches and officials helming the process.
We can be reassured that Malaysian football is going nowhere with such philosophy, letting 'half-cooked coaches and officials determine the future of the sport
FAM MFL constantly in denials, further misleading, faking and taking Malaysian for a ride with their fairytale stories and initiatives
